• Trans Fat-Free Canola Pie Crust, Pressed


    • Ingredients
    • All-purpose flour
      2 cups
    • Sugar
      1 tsp.
    • Salt
      1 tsp.
    • Canola oil
      ⅔ cup
    • Milk, 1 percent
      3 Tbsp. or as needed


    1. In a bowl, add the flour, sugar, and salt and combine the ingredients.
    2. Blend the canola oil and milk together in a smaller bowl, and add that to the mixture. Toss your ingredients together with a spatula to mix, taking care not to over-stir. The dough should form pea-sized crumbs.
    3. Pour the crumbly dough mixture into your pie pan, and use your fingers to press the dough into the bottom and sides of the pan so that the dough is evenly distributed. Flute the rim of the pie dough with your fingers, and chill the dough for 20 minutes.
    4. Prick the dough all over with a fork. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
