Houston native, Chef Evelyn García is the Chef/Co-owner of Kin HTX.
Having cooked throughout NYC with stings at Jean George Spice Market under Chef Anthony Ricco, Masak with Chef Larry Reutens & Kin Shop, Chef Harold Dieterle. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Evelyn has worked in NYC for 10 years before moving back home to Houston. With strong family ties and love for her hometown, Evelyn knew she wanted to build what is now known as Kin HTX in Houston, Texas. From pop ups, to chef residencies, restaurants and a product line KIN HTX continues to evolve and showcase her love for cooking & local agriculture. Chef Evelyn Garcia with business partner & Chef, Henry Lu will debut their new concept Jūn by KIN, fall of 2022 in the Houston Heights.
Most notably, Chef Evelyn was recently a finalist on the 19th season of Bravo TV's show Top Chef.
