Vintners Hall of Fame

The Culinary Institute of America has dedicated the historic Barrel Room at Greystone to celebrate the men and woman who have been responsible for the growth and world-wide prestige of the California wine industry.

Each March the college will hold an Annual Induction Dinner to welcome the new Founders, Pioneers and Icons elected to the Vintners Hall of Fame. Inductees in each of these categories are selected by a panel of 75 national wine writers, critics and historians.

Proceeds from the Annual Induction Dinner contribute to the college's scholarship fund for professional wine studies, as well as the development of wine and food programs on the Greystone campus.

Both historic figures and living legends of the California wine industry were among the 2008 inductees into the Vintners Hall of Fame at CIA Greystone. The induction ceremony took place on March 7, 2008 during a gala fund-raising dinner, the proceeds from which benefit scholarship funds for wine studies, as well as the development of food and wine programs at Greystone.
