The Professional Chef Discovers Sustainable Alaska Seafood

According to recent consumer research, consumers are showing a strong interest in seafood with a clear preference for wild, natural & sustainable Alaska seafood. 76% of restaurant consumers said they prefer wild, natural, ocean-caught seafood.


Seeing the Alaska Seafood logo on a menu also had a positive effect: 84% of consumers surveyed said that one simple addition – the Alaska Seafood logo – increased the likelihood of ordering seafood (Source: The Hale Group, 2008).


Additionally, Alaska seafood is the second most commonly specified brand on U.S. menus, according to Datassential’s MenuTrends U.S. Chain and Independent database, which is the largest restaurant menu database in the U.S. (Source: Datassential, 2008).
