IACET Authorized Provider:
The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) has been approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), 8405 Greensboro Drive, Suite 800, McLean, VA 22102. In obtaining this approval, the CIA has demonstrated that it complies with the ANSI/IACET Standards, which are widely recognized as standards of good practice internationally. As a result of its Authorized Provider membership status, The Culinary Institute of America is authorized to offer IACET
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standards.
CIA Continuing Education Units:
The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) grants Continuing Education Units (CEUs), a nationally recognized measure of noncredit continuing education programs. One CEU is granted for every 10 hours of class work completed. The CIA is currently the only culinary school accredited by the International Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET).

Tax Deductibility:
Education classes at The Culinary Institute of America are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. Consult your accountant for details.
CIA Drug Use Policy:
The Culinary Institute of America, in accordance with state and federal legislation, has developed policies and guidelines to deal with the possession, use, solicitation, sale, or distribution of illegal drugs and substances. Any such activity is absolutely prohibited on the Institute campus or at any Institute-controlled events. Cocaine, LSD, PCP, amphetamines, heroin, look-alikes, and any of those substances commonly referred to as "designer drugs." The inappropriate use of prescription and over-the-counter drugs is also prohibited.
No one under 21 years old may use, sell, or distribute alcohol (except in approved classroom situations).
Course Cancellations/Changes:
The Culinary Institute of America reserves the right to cancel or limit the size of any class and to alter its curriculum, instructor assignments, tuition, fees, and policies. Occasionally, enrollment for a course is low and it becomes necessary for us to cancel the course. We apologize for any inconvenience a cancellation may cause and will make every effort to reschedule the course or make other arrangements for you. We suggest you make travel arrangements after you have received your course confirmation. In addition, the CIA reserves the right to alter course times (from a.m. to p.m. or vice versa) up to three weeks before the class start date.
