Silver Sponsor: USA Rice Federation

USA Rice Federation Logo

USA Rice Federation, the national advocate for the rice industry, develops and initiates programs to increase worldwide demand for U.S. rice.

USA Rice is made up of the USA Rice Producers’ Group, the USA Rice Millers’ Association, the USA Rice Council and the USA Rice Merchants' Association. Each organization has a distinct identity and mission, overseen by its own board of directors. But when the membership sits down at the federation table, they come together as USA Rice. The USA Rice Federation represents a commitment to consensus-building, to equipping the U.S. rice industry with the strength of a united voice.

A Global Food

Rice is a global food, yet it’s grown in abundance in the United States. U.S.-grown rice constitutes nearly 90% of all rice eaten in the U.S. with any annual crop excess exported, making it the third largest exporter of rice in the world (only behind Thailand and Vietnam).

The six major U.S. rice-growing states* produce a wide variety of rice, ranging from classic white and brown rice to aromatics and specialty:

  • Traditional short, medium and long grain white, brown and parboiled rice
  • Aromatics include U.S. basmati, jasmine, arborio, della, to name a few
  • Specialty varieties include black japonica and aromatic red
  • Organic

*U.S. rice is produced in Arkansas, Louisiana, California, Texas, Missouri and Mississippi.
